Bye…for now

posted by Monkey

This might be my last post in a while. I leave for Mysore tomorrow, and have lot of last minute things to do, like sign an agreement for instance. :) So, even if something interesting does come up, (not like it ever does) I don’t think I’ll have the time to pen it down. So, it’s bye to my readers then. (for now at least. Don’t get to cozy, I’ll be back with more taachar. )

This time over, I would like to thank all of the people who follow my blog and even consider visiting it once in a while. Thanks people. :) I want to thank George personally ;) for having done so much for me. (In his own words.) And yes, I do know most of you aren’t jobless. Sivakumar especially. He is out there to change the world, and that’s a serious job. I would like to thank the people who type annoying comments too. Without you, we would never exercise our Grey cells. Thanks everyone.

Later then.

TCS Accreditation - Big Hoo-Ha

posted by Monkey

I was in for a big surprise after finishing my C# exam. TCS coming to our college for accreditation?. Well, it is likely to be true. They are ‘coming’. They are not ‘accrediting’. It was a big Hoo-ha in college as students were ushered into the acoustically bad community hall (They call it ‘the main auditorium’). There is an old saying ‘There is a slip between the cup and the lip’. Naanga evalo pera paarthirukkom. CTS, Infosys all promised big. Did nothing. Neither did the management. It is not new if TCS says, ‘your college did not meet our expectations. So it is with deep regret that we are saying this’.

Coming back to the point, CSE students were made to sit at the last, given the reason that we’ll throw a tantrum if we sit in the front. I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes for that. The person from TCS shot questions which were arguably easy, and a debate was conducted on the topic ‘Men vs Women. Who are the best managers?’. Chaos reigned supreme in the hall. So the debate came to a halt. Minutes ticked on and finally, students asked some interesting questions to the HR manager who was quite unnerved and unmoved. The procession finally ended and we made our way to class.

Uneasy silence in college

posted by Monkey

It has certainly been a month of uncertainties, with all the hoo-ha’s happening in the college. The events that transpired the postponement of monthly exams isn’t worth mentioning in my blog. Well, after much delay they are going to start tomorrow with Total quality management. There has been an uneasy silence in the college after what has just happened and students were given free lift in the bus upto the messed up cockpit called mess. ‘Like it or not, you have to go buddy’ is the word. Students like me who don’t want to eat at the mess in the morning are forced to go too.

One thing after the other. When will they learn?
